This is an opportunity to work, earn and learn at an organisation with big plans for its future - and its apprentices.

Introducing HM Land Registry

For more than 150 years HM Land Registry has protected and guaranteed people’s land and property rights by keeping and maintaining the Land Register for England and Wales.

The register covers 84 per cent of the land mass of England and Wales and contains more than 24 million titles. A title is evidence of ownership and HM Land Registry makes sure it’s officially documented. This protects against error or fraud and gives buyers, sellers and lenders the confidence to carry out property deals. It makes buying and selling property simple, secure and as speedy as possible.

HM Land Registry offers an increasingly modern and efficient service for its customers. Ninety-nine % of information requests and 73 % of registration applications are received digitally. Meanwhile, some 12,000 organisations and 140,000 individual professionals use its range of online services.

Recent innovations include free online services such as the award-winning MapSearch and Property Alert. HM Land Registry’s commitment to open data has enabled others to innovate by finding new ways to access and use the information it holds for the benefit of citizens, businesses and wider economic growth.

HM Land Registry is part of the Civil Service, which helps the government of the day develop and implement its policies as effectively as possible, providing services directly to people all over the country. The Civil Service is co-ordinated and managed by the Prime Minister and is accountable to the public for meeting the highest possible standards in all that it does.

Our ambition – HM Land Registry is committed to becoming the world's leading land registry for speed, simplicity and an open approach to data.
